Death Cab for Cutie has been one of my favorite bands for a long time. Ben Gibbard writes some really beautiful lyrics. His words have the ability to adapt and take on new meaning depending on the context in which they are listened to. It’s magical, really. I thought it would be fun to make the words have as much visual impact as they do aural. This is a visual collection of some of my favorite Death Cab lyrics.

Registration for Campbell Mithun's 2012 Lucky 13 Internship Program opened just two days ago, on January 13th. If you're planning to apply, that means you have an entire month to think about how to best represent yourself in 13 career-launching tweets. I didn't hear about the application process until the night before it opened last year and having an entire month to think about it would have been amazing. Use time to your advantage and come up with a solid strategy for your tweets. I've outlined a few ideas and strategies to get you moving in the right direction.

What they don't tell you is what I'm about to write about below. To be a great designer, you need to be involved in design outside of the classroom. This is a list of the things I've learned over the past four years through trial and error.

I spent the first five years of my life traveling the world with my family. Flying from place to place, the only toy I had was a big box of Legos. I absolutely loved them because they allowed me to build, destroy, and rebuild – each time making a more impressive structure. The following shows how the skills I learned as a kid influence my approach to web design and development.

Rumor has it that The Beer Tender can feel only three human emotions: thirst, contentment, and the feeling of pure awesomeness. And now, for a nominal fee, these three emotions can be yours with a simple call. Within moments of receiving your call, The Beer Tender will depart his secret brewery in NE Minneapolis and deliver ice-cold kegs of premium craft beer directly to your front door. In the event a keg runs dry, simply flip the topper from "Tapped" to "Tapped Out," set the keg on your doorstep, and prepare for your thirst to be re-quenched faster than you can say "Five Liters."

Few can resist Minneapple Pie's 100% deep fried goodness - especially after adding a fork and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. What originally started as playful-yet-informative microsite evolved into a full-fledged site for a restaurant called Minne's Diner. Although the site may appear clean and simple, it's powered by a series of web innovations. The entire site is running on Wordpress, making it easily editable by the restaurant owners. Store hours are indicated on each page with a fun open/ closed sign that switches based on the current time. The newspaper-inspired design even updates with current weather conditions.

Space can refer to many different things: from as large as our solar system to as small as the kerning of this font. However, one thing remains the same regardless of context. Space is found in the absence of something. Space 150 excels at taking this absence and filling it with something both beautiful and meaningful; transforming brands from a simple identity into an interactive experience. Creative Space, the 25th identity of Space 150, invites clients to consider the endless possibilities of a blank canvas and an open mind. By tearing down and rebuilding, we can truly reinvent.
